Lavarwave announced on the 20th the launch of LAVAR SCANNER, an upgraded solution that significantly enhances detection of illegal filming and deepfake content.

LAVAR SCANNER is a next-generation version of the previous solution “Hyper Detect.” While Hyper Detect focused on website-based detection using ID-photo-level facial images, LAVAR SCANNER expands detection across the entire internet—including social media and adult websites—and analyzes not only faces but also backgrounds and objects.

A key differentiator is its ability to precisely detect images and videos with similar poses and compositions. It can identify content based on background elements, shooting angles, poses, and composition—not just facial recognition.

For example, it can detect all videos and images containing a specific background object such as a red curtain, or automatically identify content with similar poses or camera angles.

The technology can also be applied to detecting brand and product infringement. It can identify logo plagiarism, counterfeit product designs, and similar marketing images in the fashion and beauty industries. Lavarwave plans to expand the solution to brand protection and copyright enforcement.

The company stated that LAVAR SCANNER will help block the real online distribution of illegal content and support removal to aid victim recovery. Future upgrades will include body-part detection, voiceprint analysis, and frame-by-frame video recognition.
